5 Best Burgers Around LA

The one and only Double Double
It is Burger Week here at Zagat, and there's no better way to kick things off than with the five best as voted in the 2013 Los Angeles/Southern California Restaurants guide. There's a little bit of everything here: fast food, local cafes and some spots that aren't just around the corner. (How far is too far for a great burger anyway?) Check out the slide show below for your handy list, and let us know your thoughts in the comments or on social media by using hashtag #burgerweek.

  1. They all look good, although $20+ for a ground meat sandwich is absurd.

About the article: The editor should remove the writer's quotation mark key from his/her word processor!

Jeez, back to remedial English Composition 101

  2. That Tommy's makes the list shows that people vote with nostalgia rather than tastebuds. IN-N-OUT is questionable as well. Though it is head and shoulders above most chains, top five? Not so certain.

  3. In and Out is not a Great Burger by any strech of even the most vivid imagination! They are at best BLAND and worst TASTELESS!
I would take a Douglas Drive Thru Burger anytime over In and Out anytime. The Chris and Pitts Bacon Cheeseburger and The Shack in Playa Del Rey's Shack Burger are the best Burgers for the money in LA!

  4. Golden State is still the best and worth the price. Their beer selection is awsome too.

  5. Tyler's burger and homemade cole slaw - unparalelled.
