10 Things We're Thankful For in the NYC Dining Scene

City Grit makes use of a nontraditional location
This Turkey Day, we're going to take a few minutes to give thanks for some of the things we love about the NYC dining scene. The city's bars and restaurants are as vibrant as ever, and the community really has come together in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy to raise funds for those in need and give some helping hands to their own (see slides one and two). It inspired us to take a look at some of the other things that make the city's dining scene stand out so much.

This Thanksgiving, click through the slide show below, raise your glass to these 10 awesome happenings in town and let us know what you're thankful for in the comments. Oh, and one more word of gratitude - to you, our readers! Thanks for keeping our blog going strong. Gobble gobble.

  1. Took my girlfriend to Lucca next to the Marriott in the Back Bay. The place was packed but they managed to find us a table after a short wait at the bar. It was really good I had the scallops and my girlfriend had the wild boar pasta. It was so good, we are going to their other one next week.
