Zoilo Brings Argentinean Sharing Plates to London

Lately we've been craving Argentinean food, and while there is nothing quite like a juicy steak, sometimes we want something a little lighter. Enter Zoilo, a new restaurant opening on November 5  that specialises in small, shareable dishes like blood pudding on toast, ox tongue with white beans and mustard, and spicy humita and crab soup. Argentinean wines will also be on the menu - almost all of which will be available to order by the glass or carafe.

The space on Duke Street in the West End is split between two floors. The ground-floor bar area is inspired by a classic Buenos Aires cafe while the lower ground floor is a relaxed and casual dining area with an open kitchen so guests can watch the chefs in action.

Not convinced? The team behind the new launch, chef patron Diego Jacquet, head chef Tara Sobott and restaurateur Alberto Abbate currently run Casa Malevo on Connaught Street as well as a successful company that caters for polo matches (of course) and other sporting events. And we hear there is a Argentine deli in the pipeline scheduled to open next spring. Did someone say steak sandwich?
