The San Francisco leg of the globetrotting Omnivore World Tour, which celebrates Europe’s young new generation of chefs, will hit our shores the weekend of November 9-10 at the Observation Post at the Presidio. (Is it just us or is the Presidio finally having long-awaited foodie close-up moment? First Picnic at the Presidio, now this?) Back to the international food festival: it will feature special collaborative dinners presided over by visiting rising star European chefs and our own talented youngins including Dominique Crenn (Atelier Crenn), James Syhabout (Commis) and Jason Fox (Commonwealth) as well as master cooking classes from Danny Bowien (Mission Chinese Food), Joshua Skenes (Saison) and Corey Lee (Benu) and wine seminar by local somms such as Mark Bright (Saison).

Reservations for the dinners can be made directly at the respective restaurants. For tickets for the opening night Omnivorous Party that will include French and American aperitifs and bites and a dance party in the Observation post ($39.99) or any of the various wine and food master classes, check out the event page.
