Where to Find the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck Next Week

We had a blast with Doug Quint and Bryan Petroff at a Google+ Hangout last month, and now they'll be here in person: The Big Gay Ice Cream Truck finally posted its schedule for its LA residency next week. As they'd say...WHEEEEE! If you're not familiar, the popular New York truck and now brick-and-mortar shop serve delicious soft serve ice cream topped with things like wasabi pea dust, cayenne pepper and curried coconut. One of the top sellers is the Salty Pimp, vanilla soft serve drizzled with dulce de leche, sprinkled with crunchy sea salt and dipped in chocolate. That's right. Salty, sweet and pimped.

The menu for the week is vanilla and dark chocolate soft serve, with the aforementioned Salty Pimp, the Bea Arthur (vanilla ice cream, dulce de leche, crushed 'Nilla wafers) and Cococone (vanilla, toasted curry coconut) cones. Sundaes include the Mermaid (vanilla, key lime curd, whipped cream, crushed graham crackers) and Maker's Mark bourbon butterscotch sauce, among others, plus a ginger-curry milkshake. Interesting.
