What to Eat At Hardly Strictly Bluegrass This Weekend

In addition to three straight days of amazing and FREE music (bluegrass and otherwise), it looks like the line-up of culinary offerings at this weekend's Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park has also stepped up its act. In addition to the usual suspects slinging gyros, garlic fries and kettle corn, this year's food vendors will include some bold-faced darlings such as The Whole Beast (slated to dole out lamb poutine), 4505 Meats (hawking their classic cheeseburger, chimichurri fries and a hot-dog-on-a-stick), Let's be Frank (dishing out grass-fed dogs) and single-serving sweets from the Cupcake Wars winning Sift Truck, along with some tantalizing newcomers such as Dora's Donut's "Shut Yer Hole" truck (which will be parked at the Power of Gold Stage and providing desserts for all the VIPs as well).

So after you plot out your musical itinerary for the weekend, mosey on over to the HSBG website's food page and strategize your dining plans from the list of 30+ vendors. And just a reminder: the festival will not be selling any alcoholic beverages, but booze is permitted in the park so consider packing your own flask.
