Trick Dog Will Be Turning Tricks, Brunch and Late-Night Eats Soon (ish)

SF Eater broke the silence about Trick Dog, the long-awaited forthcoming “kick ass, no bullshit” neighborhood craft cocktail bar in the Mission coming from the Bon Vivants which will be located at 3010 20th Street, just spitting distance from the Central Kitchen-Salumeria hub, but we caught up with owner Josh Harris directly this morning who gave us more of an update, including some tasty details on what’s on deck vis a vis food.

Harris confirmed that Trick Dog is indeed “coming soon—as in sooner than the last time we said so” and that he, partners Scott Baird and Jason Henton and their contractor are working devilishly to get the space in order. He wasn’t prepared to spill a more exact date but did mention that Trick Dog’s forthcoming chef, 30 Under 30 honoree Chester Watson, has been doing weekly food tastings to nail down the late-night eats menu. Harris also revealed that in addition to being open 3 PM- 2 AM, plans are also in the works to serve weekend brunch.

In the meantime, Watson can be found at the Bon Vivant’s hot new pop-up Rio Grande bar where he's learning how to mix drinks. For more pictures of the Trick Dog space in progress, check out the bar’s Facebook page.
