Wonder what is going on at The Oak Room at the Plaza since it shuttered a few months back? Well, no new restaurant operator has been announced (and there is surely no plans to bring back the champagne fueled brunches that alienated neighbors at the space before the shutter), but you can rent it for your holiday party! We just got an email from the events team at the space, encouraging folks to check it out for "your upcoming dinners and holiday parties." The room will be available "through the end of January" - hmmm - we wonder a new operator will be taking it over come 2013. If you want to book the space, call 212-549-0550.
