Opened just in time for this weekend’s Head of the Charles scull races on the Charles River, The Boathouse in Harvard Square is a warming American pub with some Irish grub and a nautical theme.
The owners (same as Daedalus, also in Harvard Square) hail from Galway, Ireland, and have decorated the place with the likes of antique boats and oars. Booths, tables and a long wooden bar that seats about 20 set the scene where you can come for lunch, dinner or drinks. Fare runs from burgers, salads and apps to shepherd’s pie, but you won’t find anything over $15 - perfect for scrimping college students.
Open daily at 11 AM. Kitchen closes at 10:30 PM; bar goes to 1 AM.
