Tacos, Korean BBQ, Grilled Cheese Coming to the New Figat7th

New dining deck in the works
It's no secret that Downtown LA has become a dining and drinking destination in its own right, but now one of the more business-central complexes will have a slew of new eateries that will actually attract people. Figat7th has long been sort of a dining wasteland, part retail complex, part not-so-great food court. Now, with a splashy new Target that just opened, plus several other new retail chains (Sports Chalet!), the dining deck, dubbed Taste at Figat7th, is also getting an overhaul.

Restaurants set to begin opening in December include the Mexican stylings of Loteria Grill; Oleego by Park's BBQ for all your kalbi needs; Indus by Saffron, an Indian spot; and new outposts for Mendocino Farms and Sprinkles Cupcakes. Two more notables include Juicy Lucy, the burger joint from chef Paul Shoemaker, the former Bastide chef who moved on to open Savory in Malibu, and The Melt, San Francisco's grilled cheese-only restaurant. The Melt isn't stopping there, either: Another location is slated to open in the short-lived Bodega Wine Bar spot near Sunset and Vine in Hollywood.
