Today we're getting back up and running with our normal blog coverage, but seeing that a large swath of NYC is still recovering from the Hurricane, we'll still be giving you updates on damages, openings and unique scenes that are popping up as a result of the storm. News continues to be bad for the city's waterside restaurants - Huffington Post heard from the folks at iconic River Cafe in Brooklyn, which sustained heavy damages during the punishing storm surge. Owner Buzzy O'Keefe said that the dining room and kitchen had up to four feet of water in them during the worst of the storm, and that the damage is in "the millions." He wasn't sure when they will be able to reopen, but said it won't be "for a long time. Probably not for weeks or months."
