Marcus Samuelsson is determined to turn every square inch of his Harlem eatery
Red Rooster into a profit center. Hey - that's not a complaint - neighborhood diners clearly love the joint, and have flocked to the basement jazz club Ginny's which essentially doubled the size of the space. The latest addition to the restaurant is The Nook, which will sell sweets created by pastry chef Deborah Racicot. There will also be sandwiches and other savory selections like the Hoagie Svenska, which is a soft pretzel bun with Helga's meatballs, quick pickles and lingonberry mayo. Coffee and other drinks will be served, hit a glass of the tea blends that Samuelsson
recently launched with Harney and Sons.
The Nook is open from 11 AM to 5:30 PM during the week and 10 AM to 5:30 PM on the weekends.
