Tomorrow night kicks off presidential debate season when Mitt Romney and Barack Obama meet in Denver, and what fun is sitting in your apartment when you can join a room full of tipsy patrons and catcall at the screen. The Rusty Knot is hosting a series of debate watching parties starting tomorrow at 9 PM. The smackdown will be shown on TV - we suggest doing a pickle back every time your candidate makes a major gaffe.
Ok, so maybe you're not into politics, but everyone is into pizza, right? On October 10, 30 of the Big Apple's best pie makers will converge for Slice Out Hunger, a charitable event that benefits City Harvest. Slices will be offered for $1 each, and pizzerias that usually don't do by-the-slice will be cutting up their pies for the good cause. The cheesy shindig starts at 6 PM at St. Anthony's Church on Sullivan Street, you can get info here.
