Today is opening day for the first Pennsylvania outpost for Georgia-based
Taqueria del Sol. The fast-casual Southwestern first announced intentions to come to the Philly area back in June of 2011. Though it took a while, the mini-chain is now ready to begin serving soft-flour tacos, enchiladas, chili and more in a better-than-usual environment - there’s table service. Think Panera Bread, but with beans and salsa. The Willow Grove location is around a 40 minute drive from Center City, and is open daily from 11:30 AM-2:30 PM for lunch and from 5 PM on for dinner (4001 Welsh Rd., Willow Grove; 201-696-1776).
