Tuesday

The Leadbelly, a new oyster bar on the Lower East Side, hosts a tasting of Island Creek oysters paired with Karlsson’s Gold vodka tonight. $45 buys you a dozen bivalves and three flights of vodka.

Wednesday

The Metropolitan Pavilion will be home to Spain’s Great Match, a night of Spanish spirits, food, and music. The $75 general admission includes tastings of over 200 wines and craft beers, plus tapas from restaurants including Casa Mono, La Rioja, Barraca, Tertulia and more. Thursday

BK Farmyards presents Meet Your Maker: Hops & Crops Fest tonight at 61 Local, where dishes from Brooklyn chefs like Rob Newton (Seersucker) and George Weld (Parish Hall, Egg) will be paired with local brews. The evening runs $40, with seatings available at 6:30 and 8:30 PM. Purchase tickets here.

Friday

Get the weekend started early with the Contemporary Chianti Luncheon at the James Beard House at noon. Gabriella Ganugi, President and Founder of the Palazzi Florence Association for International Culinary Education, as well members of the prestigious Apicius International School of Hospitality in Florence will serve a lunch inspired by their region’s headlining wine: Chianti. Expect dishes like polenta with mushroom confit and Chianti-lard mousse and Sangiovese-glazed duck breast. Saturday

Get into the Halloween spirit at Williamsburg’s Nitehawk Cinema - a movie theater with tableside dining service - which will screen a series of frightening films today including Halloween 3, Lost Boys, and Nosferatu.
