The 6th NYC Film Food Festival - where guests watch food-focused movies then eat what they’ve just seen on screen - kicks off tonight with the US Premiere of Whisky: The Islay Edition at NY Distillery in Williamsburg. Former New York Magazine restaurant critic Gael Greene teams up with culinary salon City Grit at 7:30 PM tonight for a reading from her books on sex and erotica along with a four-course dinner featuring legendary aphrodisiacs. Part talent show, part culinary showcase, the afternoon will include a cocktail competition and tastings from a long list of city eateries including Shake Shack, The Dutch, Colicchio & Sons, and The Wren.
