Neighborhood Spotlight: Dining on the North Shore

Since Larry David is shooting his HBO movie, Clear History, in Rockport on the North Shore, we thought we’d give you some dining tips up that way, in case you’re out and about star gazing.

In Rockport is the lovely Emerson Inn by the Sea (800-964-5550), where the Grand Café on weekends offers seafood bounty, from clam chowder to pan-seared scallops. Not too far in Gloucester is the Franklin Café (978-283-7888), the North Shore version of the popular New American, specializing in “upscale comfort food." Or you could take in the New American menu at Duckworth’s Bistrot in Gloucester (978-282-4426), where you can dine on seafood stew and pan-roasted Atlantic line-caught cod.
