Leek American Bistro to Sprout in Arlington

photo: Dakota Pine
Leek American Bistro, slated to open next week in Arlington, will dish up a cosmopolitan mix of old school manners (tablecloths, house-baked bread) and modern American cooking. Reclaimed barn wood and stone lend its rustic mod digs hipster cred, while its kitchen will source locally, of course.

The wide ranging, moderately priced, menu will include the likes of Korean ribs, BBQ, shrimp and grits, U.S. regional sandwiches (Iowa skinny, lobster roll, hot brown and burger) black pepper tofu and steak. One distinctive feature is that each dish is listed with a suggested beer, cocktail and wine pairing. Virginia’s wineries are well-represented, along with international and West Coast picks. Aged whiskeys and tequilas are starred too.

801 North Quincy St., Arlington; 571-312-4036.
