Jose Garces Debuts Cookbook, Launches Family Foundation

It’s a big week for Jose Garces. First up, the Iron Chef’s second cookbook debuts on Monday, and to celebrate he’s hosting a special Tuesday night dinner at JG Domestic in the Cira Centre. The meal includes a signed copy of The Latin Road Home, and features dishes from each of the book’s five chapters: Ecuador, Spain, Cuba, Mexico and Peru. Tickets are $125 per person and are available online here (215-222-2363).

Then, on Wednesday evening, the chef and his wife Dr. Beatrice Garces will host a gala at the Kimmel Center to launch the Garces Family Foundation, a nonprofit designed to help immigrant families and children in Philadelphia. Tickets to the event, which we first mentioned back in July, are available here for $200 (or $1,000 for early VIP access), and include stations full of gourmet hors d'oeuvres, beverage pairings and desserts. Colorful cocktail attire is requested for the party, which also features live music and flamenco performances and live and silent auctions (215-518-5526).

Finally, on Friday he'll be joining us live for a Google+ Hangout at 11 AM. Stay tuned for more details!
