Inside Colbert - Sloane Square's New Parisian Pavement Cafe

Colbert - the new restaurant from restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremey King - has finally opened! Taking over the former site of Oriel's in Sloane Square, the new continental cafe is as reliably good as sister restaurants The Wolseley and The Delaunay.

The classic interior is once again executed tastefully and to the highest standard: the glassware sparkles, marble-topped counters display freshly baked cakes and desserts and vintage French posters hang on elegant wood-panelled walls. On the menu French food dominates, so expect everything from chicken liver parfait to croque monsieur, steak Diane, endive salad and a near-perfect pain perdu for breakfast.

A section of the restaurant is kept for walk-ins, but because the new space is fairly small we recommend you book in advance. Click through the slide show below to see what you're missing.
