Health Department, Zagat Surveyors Slam House of Gaga

Joanne restaurant on the Upper West Side hasn't been having a good few days, but no one would have even noticed had it not been for the eatery's famous owners. The Italian joint is owned by Joseph and Cynthia Germanotta, aka the mother and father of one Lady Gaga. The relationship sure made for a great headline in the New York Post ("Putting the Gag in Gaga"), which reported that the restaurant received enough violation points for "C" letter grade during the last health inspection.

Things were no better for this spot in the just-released New York City Restaurants survey, where it scored a far-from-the-edge-of-glory 18 for Food and 20s for Decor and Service and saying that the concept "needs a bit of tweaking" (see the full rating here). We couldn't decide on what cringe-worthy Gaga pun to us as our story capper, so here are a few for you to choose from:

-Are Gaga's parents in a bad romance with Joanne Trattoria? (wokka wokka)
-With all this news, we can see why Gaga and her clan are speechless.
-This makes us wonder, is chef Art Smith a king with no crown? King with no crown?
