Next month the nation will be watching how Californians vote on Prop 37, a bill that would require mandatory labeling of genetically modified foods. Not sure how to vote or looking for talking points to help convince the undecided? Slow Food San Francisco is hosting a panel discussion called Speaking Out for Healthier Food: The Truth About GMOs this Sunday afternoon at the Parc 55 in Downtown San Francisco. Keynote speakers include Frances Moore Lappe, best known for her book Diet for a Small Planet and Jeffrey Smith, executive director of the Institute for Responsibly Technology and author of the book Genetic Roulette.

Sunday 1- 4 PM, Park 55 Wyndham, 55 Cyril Magnum Street, admission is a suggested $5-$10 donation in advanced or at the door; RSVP here.
