Get Ready for the Ultimate Tailgate Party Hosted by Lovin' Spoonfuls

Sam's is hosting Lovin' Spoonfuls' Ultimate Tailgate Party October 28.
We know this event is at the end of the month, but you might want to plan ahead for the second annual Ultimate Tailgate Party, hosted by Lovin’ Spoonfuls. On October 28, a dozen of Boston’s top chefs will gather under a tent at Sam’s in South Boston along the waterfront and cook their hearts out for the nonprofit that makes sure healthy leftovers and food that would otherwise be thrown away makes it to local soup kitchens and homeless shelters.

Jenny Johnson of NECN’s TV Diner” will emcee and the chefs - Joanne Change (Myers & Chang, Flour), Jeremy Sewall (Lineage, Eastern Standard, Island Creek Oyster Bar) and Andy Husbands (Tremont 647), among others - will cook up their favorite tailgate food. Jamie Bissonnette (Coppa and Toro) and Will Gilson (Puritan & Co.) will doing what they do best, roasting a pig. Jon Parsons (Sam’s) and Josh Childs (Silvertone) will shake up some stellar cocktails. Yes, live entertainment and a live auction will all be part of the fun.

Oh, Bo Sox executive chef and former contestant on Bravo’s Around the World in 80 Plates, Steve “Nookie” Postal will be heading up the VIP hour (6-7 PM) with lobster rolls and champagne. And Curbside Valet Co. will be offering complimentary valet parking.
