|Fall flavors at Drago Centro/Thirsty in LA|
A great Mexican mole is intoxicating, and having more than 13 different rich, sweet and savory mole dishes in one place is equally so. At the Fifth Annual Feria de los Moles this Sunday, you'll have a chance to taste classic dishes from all over Mexico, plus enjoy live entertainment from local artists. The event is free (food costs extra) and takes place from 10 AM-7 PM on Olvera Street (845 N. Alameda St.).
The flavors of fall have made their way onto the cocktail menu at Drago Centro Downtown. Sippers include the American Hillbilly, with rye whiskey, pancetta-rosemary-infused maple syrup, baked apple bitters and lemon. Or maybe Autumn's Deluge with vodka, white grapes, arugula and presecco. Best time to try them this weekend: The patio is a perfect spot to stop after the big Grand Park Block Party on Saturday, or post-biking through the streets for Ciclavia on Sunday.
Beer, art, food and music. What more do you need? At BAM Fest in Santa Monica, you'll find more than 30 breweries, plus open galleries and artists studios, food trucks, and local bands performing live throughout Saturday afternoon. $45 at the door gets you a logo tasting glass and unlimited beer sampling, plus the chance to peruse (and maybe buy) some cool art. Takes place at the 18th Street Arts Center from 1-6 PM (1639 18th St.).
