Capital Food Fight next Monday night (October 8), celebrity hosts José Andrés and Anthony Bourdain will be talking trash. Chefs Jeffrey Buben (Vidalia, Bistro Bis), Enzo Fargione (Elisir), Guillermo Pernot (Cuba Libre) and Adam Sobel (Bourbon Steak) will be battling for bragging rights to the title of best DC chef. Judging the contest, The Chew's Carla Hall, Top Chef's Padma Lakshmi and Bizarre Foods' Andrew Zimmern will add more star power to the night.
Meanwhile swarms of guests will be sipping trendy cocktails made by the town’s top mixologists, along with wine and beer, while snacking on specialties from over 60 restaurants. Giant screens will let them watch the hosts’ antics and the food fight without missing a bite themselves. The event benefits DC Central Kitchen's work helping low income and at-risk people help themselves. Tickets are $200; order them here.
