Council Forces the Newman Arms to Slow Down Service

In possibly the most bizarre move since prosecuting pubs that allowed customers to 'rhythmically sway' in 2002, Westminster Council has forced The Newman Arms on Goodge Street to slow down service and stop selling their popular homemade pies on Thursday and Friday evenings.

The council were concerned that after-work drinkers were blocking the pavements so now pub staff must complete each transaction before taking the next order. In addition an inside area previously dedicated to diners must be opened to vertical drinkers, which puts an end to the homemade pies. In summary Westminster Council have forced them to anger and then starve drinkers. Sounds like a recipe for disaster to us!
