Could Food Trucks Be Used For Terrorism?

A slide from the FDNY
The New York City Fire Department put together a presentation that raised an interesting question: could NYC's growing array of food trucks be a terrorist threat? According to a slideshow obtained by the blog Public Intelligence, the FDNY notes that there is a black market for truck permits and an increasing number of mobile eateries on the road. When they park, it's at high-profile venues next to big buildings. There's a lot of foot traffic and a lot of windows. See the slideshow that voices the concern here.

The last thing we think of while we're waiting in line for a lobster role is the threat of terrorism, but looking at the presentation we're glad that the folks keeping us safe are covering all the bases. Now, if they could just do something about those lines. [via Grub Street]
