Campanile's Official Closing Date and a Blowout Bash

We knew Campanile will close to make way for Walter Manzke and Bill Chait's new Republique, but the La Brea restaurant's 23-year run is quickly coming to an end. Mark Peel announced that the restaurant will close its doors after a blowout Halloween party on October 31. He tells the LAT that it will be an all-you-can-eat-and-drink "Black and White" party with live music, passed apps, food stations and lots of masks. Takes place 5:30 PM to midnight, and tickets are $89 per person, so priced for the year the restaurant opened. Up until then, however, it's business as usual, including weekday lunch (including on Oct. 31), Thursday grilled cheese nights, regular dinners and weekend brunch. Reservation lines are open for all.
