Late this summer, it was announced that April Bloomfield and Ken Friedman were taking over the food program at Midtown's new Pod 39 Hotel.
The Spotted Pig chef introduced a menu of tacos to go with cocktails from
Hotel Delmano's Sam Anderson. Well, it looks like that's not the only thing the duo has in the works for the property. A new bar on the ground floor of the hotel just opened, and a full restaurant will debut later this fall. The offerings are minimal at this point - there's guac, salsa and chips at night and Danishes and croissants during the day. Look forward to seeing what else the space has in store (145 East 39th St.).
