Bloomfield and Friedman Expanding Options at the Pod 39 Hotel

Late this summer, it was announced that April Bloomfield and Ken Friedman were taking over the food program at Midtown's new Pod 39 Hotel. The Spotted Pig chef introduced a menu of tacos to go with cocktails from Hotel Delmano's Sam Anderson. Well, it looks like that's not the only thing the duo has in the works for the property. A new bar on the ground floor of the hotel just opened, and a full restaurant will debut later this fall. The offerings are minimal at this point - there's guac, salsa and chips at night and Danishes and croissants during the day. Look forward to seeing what else the space has in store (145 East 39th St.).
