While we were getting some of Black Hogg chef Eric Park's favorite eats in LA and New York - hello, L&E Oyster Bar and La Cevicheria - he also let us know that his uber-popular Silver Lake restaurant is on track to reopen this month. Remember it closed a few months ago to make way for a new beer and wine license, which was finally approved. So we'll finally have something crisp and white or bubbly to go with that spicy chicken liver and cracklins, fried olives and uni toast. "We'll have beverages that enhance the eating experience," he says. "So look for lots of old world, sparkling, and mineraly wines with lots of acid. We'll have some great hoppy beers, and we are excited to serve sour beers." He's looking at a mid- to late-October opening.
