We don't always love Bloody Marys, but we certainly had our fair share this weekend. But who can resist the harissa-spiked Bloody at Baco Mercat? There is nothing better alongside a brunchy chorizo and egg baco, and especially one stuffed with pork belly. And just because they are the best Bloody Marys this side of the 210, the work of art at the Rancho Bar in Altadena is something to behold. And it's great after a hike in the foothills. Bartendress extraordinaire Beth puts a lot of love into those glasses (Clamato, celery salt, horseradish) completing each one with a veritable salad bar on top. And they are dive-bar, cash-only cheap, you'll want two - they take so long to make, go ahead and order the second one right away.
