Best Thing We Ate Last Night: Falafel at Kulushkat

There are seemingly plenty of places to buy high-quality falafel sandwiches in Manhattan, but in Brooklyn, it tends to be rarer. Enter Kulushkat, which opened last spring right on Dean near Flatbush (the area now known as BK's Time Square thanks to the Barclays Center). For such a small space, a surprising amount of options comprise the menu, but the falafel rightfully stands out. Available with white or whole wheat pita, the perfectly fried chickpea balls are complemented by a healthy serving of creamy hummus, red cabbage, eggplant and tahini. At $5.50, it's a hearty, affordable meal that we keep going back to - and we have a feeling the late-night crowds leaving Barclays will feel the same way (347-799-1972).

  1. Wow! That looks really interesting and the presentation just added more appetizer. I just hope some restaurants here offer like this which I think there's nothing like this.
