Call us old-fashioned (at least quickly order us an Old Fashioned), but sometimes the simplest dishes scream the loudest at us. Last night at Ink., we fully enjoyed our Brussels sprouts with sheets of lardo melting over them, topped with a mound of crispy pig's ears that were every bit as good as shoestring fries. We demolished the poutine with its funky chickpea fries. Loved the Nutella sponge cake and chocolate dessert (why is that not a regular grocery store thing?). And yet, our favorite dish of the night was a plate of beautiful pink ham with Marcona almond butter touched with honey and lovely little Manchego cheese biscuits. We want to picnic with this at all times. It set the tone beautifully for a fun night at Michael Voltaggio's spot.
