The bread basket filled with corn bread, an onion focaccia and a pillowy, potato roll was too tempting to resist. We would go back just for another round - but when the chicken fried sweetbreads and waffles arrived, we were glad that we still had room.
Crunchy and flavorful, the sweetbreads were an enchanting accompaniment to the crisp, thick waffle. Bacon fondue added that extra special something to the dish that bacon always provides. Asparagus spears provided a colorful contrast. While the lemon caper veal jus sauce would make cardboard irresistible. Given how delicious all the components of the dish were, it made a good thing, even better.
