Bay Area Left Bank Brasseries to Host Fête Alsacienne This Week

Speaking of bacon, the traditional Alsatian tart featuring bacon, caramelized onions and crème fraiche will be one of the special items on the Left Bank Brasserie’s Fête Alsacienne menu, which will be running Thursday through Saturday. The Bay Area-wide chainlet, which has locations in Larkspur, San Jose and Menlo Park, will showcase the multi-cultural region of Alsace whose dual culinary heritage reflects its checkered history of being ruled by both France and Germany. Each location will be run its own slate of Alsatian-inspired a la carte specials - think blood sausages, slow-braised sauerkraut with duck fat and poached apricots with cinnamon streusel – along with flights of Alsatian appellation (Rieslings, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris) and beer pairings (Kronenbourg 1664 and Fischer Amber). All regular a la carte lunch and dinner selections will be available. Get more details here.
