A New Wolf in Sheep's Clothing Coming to Venice

Now that Kris Tominaga and Brian Dunsmoor have found a home for Hart and the Hunter at Palihotel, someone else is opening something similar to their former pop-up concept, Wolf in Sheep's Clothing, at the former Lilly's space in Venice. And it has the same Southern-leaning menu and the WiSC name. But Tominaga and Dunsmoor, who we thought created that name and menu, have nothing to do with it. Is this a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing...in sheep's clothing?

Yo! Venice has word of the new opening, which supposedly debuts tonight, but Tominaga tells us that when he and Dunsmoor split with Capri, they brought in chef Kevin Kathman to help Capri owner John Mascarenhas. Instead, Mascarenhas has partnered with Brad Johnson (Post & Beam), and with Kathman and former Daniel chef buddy Dustin Taylor are opening a new WiSC. Confusing? Incredibly. Only time will tell what shakes out at 1031 Abbot Kinney. Meanwhile, Hart and the Hunter also starts dinner service tonight.
