| Putting up the sign on 75 on Liberty Wharf |
The menu of American bistro fare is the same as it is at 75 Chestnut, which means diners will find a variety of sandwiches, salads, seafood, pasta, steak and other entrees. The main difference is that 75 on Liberty Wharf serves lunch; the other location does not. Prices range from $11 for a burger to $25 for the filet mignon.
The restaurant is housed in a mostly glass stand-alone building on the waterfront overlooking Boston Harbor. The intimate dining room seats about 30, and the bar, made of mahogany, seats about a dozen. A patio overlooking the harbor provides outside seating when the weather warms up.
75 Chestnut is owned and operated by venerated restaurateur Thomas A. Kershaw, who also owns two Beacon Hill properties: The Hampshire House, a dining venue for private functions, and the Bull & Finch Pub, the bar that was the inspiration for the hit TV series, Cheers.
75 on Liberty Wharf is open for lunch weekdays, 11:30 AM-3 PM; and dinner, 5-11 PM. Saturday and Sunday it’s open 11:30 AM-11 PM.
