29-Year-Old Brooklyn Resto Marco Polo Reopens After Spruce Up
Old-school Italian Marco Polo Ristorante has dished out the red sauce on Court Street for almost three decades, and they are getting a spruce up before their thirtieth year rolls around (gotta keep things fresh - 30 is the new 20, right?) . The family behind the restaurant also owns Enoteca on Court, and patriarch Joseph Chirico is bringing his son Marco over from that eatery to manage the revamp of this space. The reboot opened last week - gone are the old-timey frescos, which have been replaced by black-and-white photos of Venice. There are a large varieties of new dishes on the menu, which still focuses on the fare of Venice and Southern Italy. Expect offerings like black seafood risotto and pappardelle with Tuscan veal ragu and fava beans (340 Court St.; 718-852-5015).
