Where to Eat Near Gillette Stadium

CBS Scene in Patriot Place
New England Patriots’ fans will find a plethora of food and drink at these hot spots near Gillette Stadium. In some cases they overlook some of the action.

Bar Louie: This comfort American lounge in Patriot Place is mostly known for its signature martini list and multilayered menu, featuring the likes of voodoo chicken and sesame-encrusted ahi tuna. But on football Sundays throughout the season, half-price apps (spinach and artichoke dip; crispy calamari) and $3 14-oz. Bud Lights score a few extra points (508-623-1195).

CBS Scene: Think Disney World for football fans, with multiple floors, four bars and about 145 TVs at this Patriot Place magnet, not to mention a view of the stadium. The American menu features lots of apps, including Kobe beef sliders, pizzas and sandwiches, plus a fair share of local brews. Hint: arrive early and be prepared for a crowd (508-203-2200).

Davio’s: For a more upscale, low-key dining and watching experience (one TV at the bar, one in the lounge), head to this northern Italian steakhouse in Patriot Place. Kick back with apps, such as the popular Philly cheesesteak spring rolls with spicy homemade ketchup, or dig into a 24-oz. bone-in rib-eye (508-339-4810).

Lafayette House: Consider this dependable American resto in Foxboro across the street from the stadium for a before-or-after stop for the likes of clams casino, baked stuffed lobster, veal Marsala and more. Just be warned, parking is hefty price on game day (actually, it’s on-par with what you’d pay at the stadium) unless you’re just there for dinner - in that case it’s free (508-543-5344).

Skipjack’s: At this Patriot Place seafooder, watch the game on the multiple TVs or just grab a bite pre- or post-game if you have tickets. Be forewarned: there’s a special game-day menu that has many regular dinner items on it, but at a higher price (508-543-2200).

Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro: This upscale wine bar in Patriot Place, which normally focuses on farm-to-table eats, goes a little casual for game day, offering the likes of burgers and flatbreads. Yes, there is beer, but also upwards of 70 wines by the glass. As for viewing options, there's a large flat-screen in the bar plus patio screening, weather permitting (508-203-9463).
