We almost want to title this “Where to Eat and Drink Around the Pantages Theater” because right now one of the most anticipated Broadway shows, The Book of Mormon, is pulling thousands into the neighborhood through November. There are more pre- or post-show options than ever before right in the heart of Hollywood, but, while the area has seen quite the resurgence in the last 10 years, everyone still seems to think it's nothing fly-by-night hot spots or velvet rope scenes. Thankfully, that's not the case.

There are a lot of great dining establishments within walking distance of the Pantages, the Dolby Theatre (formerly Kodak), Fonda Theatre, Walk of Fame and other landmarks – if that’s why you’re here. But also great places to try even as a local, many right off the Red Line stops at Vine or Hollywood and Highland. Some new, some classic, some hidden gems, but all wonderfully unique.
