Weekend Planner, September 27-30: Medicinal Marshmallows and More

Medicinal marshmallows
A Persian pop-up and medicinal marshmallows kick off your weekend of foodie fun.

Thursday
Book now for Persian chef Sabrina Ghayour's pop-up at The Modern PantryPassage to Persia will take place over four Monday nights (from October 22-November 12) with a different guest chef cooking their interpretation of Iranian food on each of the nights. Guest chefs include Ben Spalding, Alexis Gauthier, Omar Allibhoy and Tim Anderson. For tickets (£65), e-mail enquiries@themodernpantry.co.uk.

Friday
Solve a puzzle to gain entry to tonight's secret medicinal marshmallow speakeasy organised by The Robin Collective - purveyors of curious events and experimental food - at Friday Late at the V & A. Once you're in, try everything from aphrodisiac marshmallow (rose, ginger and chilli) to a Royal Jelly-infused treat.

Saturday
Spend a rainy day in the kitchen baking treats from Sweet Tooth - the new cookbook by artisan baker Lilly Vanilli whose new book aims to help demystify the art of baking. If it all goes horribly wrong ,abandon the oven and head to her Columbia Road bakery to see how it should be done.

Sunday
You'll be on a high after a trip to the The SkyMarket - now open at the Skyroom. London's first rooftop market place is where you'll find a kitchen, bar, deli, art gallery and performance space. On the weekly changing market menu, you can expect tastes from nearby Maltby Street and Borough Market including exotic North African or Indonesian dishes.
