Weekend Planner: Cruising, Late-Night Spice Market Dinner and Tea Tasting

Odyssey Cruises at night
Tonight indulge in a champagne dinner cruise aboard the recently renovated Odyssey. The evening cruise includes an elegant three-course meal, a complimentary glass of champagne, live entertainment and an unmatched view of the stars and harbor (6 PM boarding time; 7-10 PM cruise; $130.87 per person, including tax and fees; 866-307-2469).

Tomorrow, on September 22 you can satiate your late-night craving for something spicy at Market by Jean-Georges in the W Hotel, when the late night Spice Market menu kicks in. Guests can nibble on chicken spiced samosas; roasted cod with Malaysian chili sauce and other bites (10 PM-midnight; Fridays and Saturdays; $10 apiece; 617-310-6790).

We have two suggestions for Sunday. At L’Espalier, join a tea tasting presented by Boston local tea sommelier Cynthia Gold. The afternoon promises an informative and fun time learning about five different types accompanied by tea sandwiches, pastries and petit fours. This Sunday the focus is on Nepal (3 PM; $50 per person; 617-262-3023). At Legal Sea Foods, take advantage of $1 oysters at the fourth annual Oyster Festival with the “Shellfish Shindig” hosted at the Charles Square location’s outdoor terrace. Looks like good weather, though you just might want to bring a sweater (2-4 PM; 617-491-9400).
