The Tortoise Club Offers Menu Sneak Peek

The Tortise Club isn't debuting until November, but the new River North eatery is ready to start cooking on day one. Chef Gray McNally has released copies of his menu - the classic American fare will be served in a clubhouse-like setting - expect plenty of locally sourced produce and sustainably raised seafood and game. The restaurant will be decorated with memorabilia that pays homage to Chicago's history - that Mahogany millwork is from the old Pump Room and the 300 leather-bound books are from the Newberry Library. Look for dishes like steak tartare and lobster thermidore - you can get a glance at the full menu below the jump (350 N. State Street).
