Yesterday, we shared with you some of our favorite
wacky food inventions, but today we've learned about another ingenious and unnecessary gadget that seems like a must-try:
The Popinator, a popcorn machine (slash cannon) that launches the kernels directly into your mouth. (Our heads just exploded.) Developed by Popcorn Indiana, the machine is equipped with voice-activated binaural microphones to detect your exact location and figure out the correct trajectory. For now the gadget is just a prototype, but you can bet that we'll be getting our hands on one as soon as this thing hits the market. [via
