St. Vincent Tavern Launches New Wine Merchant Services

David Lynch's St. Vincent Tavern and Wine Merchants in the Mission is finally living up to its name. Although the restaurant opened four months ago, the team is just now getting into the retail wine business. That means if you taste something you like at the restaurant, you can now purchase it at retail price and enjoy it at chez vous. In addition, Lynch and his team of sommeliers are making monthly wine recommendations.

To launch the service, Lynch and company have picked out six reasonably priced selections including a $20 orange wine from Slovenia. After all, Lynch concedes, "we couldn’t be a hipster wine joint in the Mission without having plenty of 'orange wine' (i.e., white wine fermented on its skins) on offer." Other selections include a rose sparkler from Burgundy made in the Champagne method for just $25, a Sangiovese blend from Lucca for $24 and an American Syrah coming from the Sonoma Coast ($38).
