Sonic Returning to Philadelphia

Just in time for Fast Food Week, we found this tidbit in the e-mail inbox: Sonic is returning to Philadelphia, with two area locations due to open in early October, and up to six planned for the region in the near future. Franchisees Don Welsh and Nolan Aspell will reopen the recently shuttered Port Richmond Sonic, located at 2201 East Butler Street, and will also launch an outpost of the roller-skater staffed quick server in Audubon, NJ at 112 Black Horse Pike. We’re excited to have a somewhat nearby source for Sonic burgers, Tots and Blasts, but what we really want to know is when are they coming to Center City? Stay tuned, we’ll have more info soon.
