PYT Introduces Fried Butter Croissant Burger

Tommy Up’s neon-hip bar and lounge has offered many interesting burgers of the week since opening in Northern Liberties’ Piazza three years ago, but this one may outdo them all, calorie-wise. You can now go to PYT and order a fried butter croissant burger, the name of which tells you just about all you need to know.

On top of the all-beef patty is a ball of butter and blue cheese that has been deep fried to a crisp, so that it pops and spreads its fatty flavor over the meat only when you take your first bite. If that wasn't decadent enough, the bun is made out of a croissant - already 50% butter on its own. There are a few leaves of arugula in the mix, but let’s be honest, they’re only included to make the inevitable flood of food porn pics look prettier.
