Though the restaurant (which is replacing Le Caprice) was announced near the end of last year, details have been leaking out. Filippo Gozzoli will be the chef - he's worked the Park Hyatt Milan and Arquade restaurant in Italy. A menu of seasonal Italian fare will be served - dishes will include options like spaghetti carbonara with seafood and risotto with five different types of tomatoes. The space will be designed by Adam D. Tihany and the bar program will features some vino that was custom made in Tuscany exclusively for the restaurant.
So, should you be excited? There is already a branch of Sirio in Las Vegas' Aria Hotel, it scored an impressive 25 for Food in our last survey, with diners calling it "excellent" and "world class." Hopefully the NYC edition will be just as good (795 Fifth Avenue).
