Peach cobbler. Blackeyed peas. Okra. Ham-hocks and greens. Soul food is a live and well in LA, as noted by District Chronicles, at old-school spots like Ms. Bs M&M Soul Food and Dulan's Soul Food Kitchen, but also at newer trendier spots like chef Govind Armstrong and Brad Jonhson's Post & Beam in Baldwin Hills. To prove a point, here's Armstrong's fried chicken, which sells out almost every time it's on the menu. We can see why.
