Photo of the Day: Grilled Watermelon at AQ Restaurant and Bar

We love the combination of smoky barbecue followed by slices of sweet watermelon but chef Mark Liberman of AQ Restaurant and Bar takes it one step further by throwing those chunks of melon right onto the grill. Liberman posted this Facebook picture of grilled watermelon which he served with cactus and sea bean as part of his cooking demo at the Ferry Plaza's Farmers' Market over the weekend, but you can find a similar seared watermelon appetizer, topped with lovage, cactus, buttermilk and basil, on AQ's current summer dinner menu.
